What is Emotional Health Consulting, anyway?
… and how does it differ from traditional therapy?
Where counselors and trained psychotherapists have official schooling, they also have other rules and regulations they have to abide by on a state and national level. Where counseling is often a consistent climb towards freedom and self-exploration, consulting is more of an intense deep-dive experience, focusing specifically in on our triggers.
Emotional Health Consulting differs from counseling in that specific teaching takes place, homework assignments are given, and sessions often include some form of cognitive behavioral therapy practices. We focus on creating awareness of your patterns and triggers, bringing comfort and compassion to yourself and others in your life, and discovering who you were always meant to be.
Please note that we highly recommend traditional therapy practices and use their services ourselves. We believe the more help you can get on your healing journey, the better!
What’s the goal?
Similar to a business consultant who would come and help your business work through specific “stuck” areas, we do the same thing but with your inner world. It’s the goal of emotional health consulting to teach you the Compassion Method process so you can move through life with a general sense of being “okay”.
We define being “okay” as being…
+ clear minded
+ tender hearted
+ and at peace.

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business.”
“It has been a great blessing working with Jeff Prentice in a mentor and discipleship role. At points when I was struggling most deeply with my own identity and worth, Jeff provided some important insights, and (more importantly) provided a vital friendship. He and his wife Marissa are awesome people to seek counseling service and personal relationships with.”
